A tornado ranked as a F5 tornado on the Fujita Scale of Tornado Intensity occurred at DeKalb county in Alabama on April 27, 2011. It has caused 25 deaths and created a damage that cost $150 thousand.

The Super Dixie Outbreak
This tornado was from the Super Dixie Outbreak. The Super Dixie outbreak was one of the largest tornado outbreaks in the U.S. This outbreak occurred in the eastern portion of the U.S between April 25th and April 28th in 2011. During these four days, 358 tornadoes touched down. The most amount of outbreaks occurred on April 27, 2011. This outbreak has caused 348 deaths in total and 238 of those fatalities happened in Alabama.
Despite, the unfortunate deaths the natural disaster was nicely advertised. Tornado Watches like the Tornado Watch 225, 230, 235, 241, and 245 took effect. A tornado watch occurs if there is evidence to show that tornadoes could form from incoming thunderstorms. Also, the Storm Prediction Center gave out tornado warnings a few days before the outbreak. A tornado warning occurs to warn the public that a tornado is coming.
